It was Diwali of 2023 when Tushar Batra, our founder, struggled to find the perfect gift for his parents’ 25th wedding anniversary.
After hours of hopping between shops and scrolling through countless websites, he wondered why finding a meaningful, personalized gift was so challenging in a country that celebrates relationships like no other.
That evening, sitting on his small balcony overlooking the city lights, Tushar envisioned an online gifting platform that would understand the language of Indian hearts – where every gift would tell a story, where memories wouldn’t just be preserved but celebrated in the most creative ways possible.
With his savings and unwavering support from his family, Couple Pitara took its first steps as a brand from a tiny room in his ancestral home.
The brand name ‘Couple Pitara’ reflects our essence- ‘Pitara’ being that magical treasure box in Indian households that holds precious memories, combined with our focus on celebrating relationships.
We started small, with just three artisans who shared our passion for crafting customized gifts, each piece made with love and attention to detail that only small-town dedication can bring.
